After quite a hectic weekend, I was lucky to accompany a few of my friends who were going to do some falconry in Ashford Castle in Co. Mayo. Was going to cancel my trip due to extreme tiredness but decided some fresh air would be good. Turned out to be a magnificent day which involved observing my friends participate in some falconry followed by high tea in the posh castle. Got some shots I am very happy with particularly a shot of a puppy that was being trained to hunt with the falcons. Would recommend people to go see this place if they are in the area. Truly wonderful sights guaranteed :)

Last week I purchased my first lens for Canon which was the Canon 50mm EF F1.8 Mk II. I ordered it on Tuesday from Amazon and received it on Thursday which surprised me. It was relatively cheap being approx £90 and have taken some some great pictures already. I was lucky also to receive it before the weekend as I attended a swing workshop up in Dublin and managed to get a lot of great pictures of the performers. Am using 3 different lenses at the moment of which one is a lend that i have to give back (sorry Steffi!) and am finding out the hard way the correct one to use for the proper occasion :P. Particularly tricky when I still playing
